In the booth visitors will find information about some of the research groups of Nazarbayev University, Astana, Kazakhstan, specializing in renewable-energies and related fields. You will also find research-posters and brochures of Ph.D.-students and junior researchers in renewable-energies, energy-efficiency and related fields. Student projects include (1) a novel design of the energy-efficient residential building in the shape of a hemisphere adapted to continental climate zones characterized by significant annual variation in temperature, high precipitation and strong winds; (2) a prototype of a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with original sulfur composite cathodes with high power density, long cycle life and energy efficiency; (3) a converter which efficiently tracks maximum power point; (4) an autonomous power supply based on hybrid renewable energy sources with wireless communications; (5) a research on fabrication of TiO₂ compact layer by the spray pyrolysis deposition system for dye-sensitized solar cells. In the booth you will also find a general information about the academics and research excellency of the Nazarbayev University. |
