North Japan Research Institute for Sustainable Energy (NJRISE), Hirosaki University, was established in October 2010 to overcome negative characteristics such as heavy snowfall and cold weather in northern Japan through research and development on renewable and saving energy, and to contribute to construct indigenous and dispersive type local energy industries. An institute of universities labeled with the two keywords, "North Japan" and "Sustainable Energy", is only one base in Japan so far.
NJRISE consists of "Advanced Energy Materials Group", "Energy Conversion Engineering Group", "Geothermal Engineering Group" and "Electric System Engineering Group". Our booth exhibits an outline of the NJRISE, geothermal researches to introduce geothermal powers in Aomori Prefecture by the Geothermal Engineering Group and ocean power researches from ocean tidal current and waves by the Electric System Engineering Group. |
