Geothermal energy is abundant in Japan and a purely domestic energy source. There are great expectations that geothermal power generation will develop in Japan as the energy is not only renewable with a minimum discharge of carbon dioxide, but also stable being unaffected by weather.
Conversely, many local residents have voiced concerns as to the possible impacts on the environment associated with the geothermal power business. Operating in harmony with the environment and potentially affected industries such as the spa industry are important issues to be addressed by us.
In this Renewable Energy 2014 Exhibition we will present our current activities and geothermal development status in Japan, as well as the mechanism and the characteristics of geothermal power generation. |
