[What is the "FutureCity" initiative?] It can be said that the global environmental problems and the social problems of rapid super-aging are the common problems of the 21st century. Japan is faced with these problems ahead of others in the world. This initiative aims to create diverse city and community models that will develop independently while creating “environmental value”, “social value” and “economical value” taking advantage of local resources towards solving these common problems. In this exhibition, we will introduce a variety of advanced eco-friendly cases that are created by “FutureCity” and “Eco-model City”, which has been selected under this initiative. In addition, in the adjacent booth, Yokohama City (“FutureCity”), Kobe City and Toyota City (“Eco-Model City”) introduce the latest projects.
